People often ask us what makes our meat different.

It’s a fair question, especially when there are more labels, claims, and opinions than ever. For us, the answer isn’t about trends or talking points. It comes down to how the animals live, what they eat, and how they’re handled from start to finish.

We don’t spend much time comparing ourselves to others. Instead, we focus on doing things the right way, every step of the way.

Here’s what that looks like.

Pasture Comes First

Our animals spend their lives on pasture, moving naturally, grazing, and expressing normal behavior. Cattle are raised and finished 100% on grass, and our pork and poultry are raised outdoors during the growing season.

Healthy land grows healthy animals—and that care shows up in the meat.

Our pastures are Audubon Certified Bird Friendly, and our home farm’s land is certified through MOSA. These aren’t marketing claims—they’re third-party standards we welcome being held to.

Feed That Matches the Animal

When supplemental feed is needed, we use non-GMO feed and avoid shortcuts entirely.

No hormones.
No antibiotics.
No steroids.
No mRNA.
No “just this once” exceptions.

Animals are fed in a way that supports their health, growth, and the quality of the food they provide.

Processing with Care

We work with local processors we trust, people we know, who share our commitment to safe and humane handling. There’s no stressful confinement, no rushed loading, and no unnecessary handling.

From the farm to the processor to your freezer, we aim for calm, clean, and careful.

The Result: You Can Taste the Difference

All of those choices add up. Not just ethically—but on the plate.

Flavor, texture, and consistency matter. When animals are raised well and handled with care, the difference isn’t subtle.

If you’re feeding your family, hosting friends, or gathering around the TV for the Big Game, this is the kind of food you can feel good serving.

How we raise pastured turkeys for Thanksgiving

Midsummer, our farm welcomes hundreds of day old turkey chicks. From there, we raise them in the brooder until they are old enough to graze the rest of their lives on pasture. If you've never gotten the chance to come out to the farm to see them on pasture yourself, watch our 5 minute video here. It really is an impressive sight to see!
