Directions
Quick, easy, and so delicious! This recipe works for turkey and chicken wings. Use chicken wings for an appetizer or smaller meal. However, turkey wings have far more meat on them, so they can be considered more of a meal.
Make sure wings are thawed before cooking. Pull from freezer a few days prior.
1.Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
2. Combine seasonings.
3. Spread oil on wings, then season.
4. Bake for an hour and 20 minutes for turkey wings and just 40 minutes for chicken wings. Flip wings halfway through cook.
5. When internal temp reaches 165 degrees F and wings are crispy, remove from oven, let cool, then enjoy!
This works well on the grill, too!
1.Get the grill nice and hot - medium heat- before adding oiled/seasoned wings.
2. Set wings on grill and close lid.
3. Let them sear for a few minutes, then check to make sure none are getting too charred; if so, move them away from that particular hot spot.
4. Cook for about 15-20 minutes total for chicken wings (longer for turkey wings) or until internal temperature reads 185 degrees F, flipping as needed to enhance crisping and prevent burning.
If you prefer a smokier flavor to your turkey wings, try searing them on both sides over the hot portion of the grill, then move to indirect heat to cook lower and slower for an hour or two until internal temp reaches 185 degrees.
5. Remove from heat, add any extra sauce, and enjoy!
