Soil Sisters Field Day and Potluck - October 4th, 2026 - 3pm

Where: Riemer Family Farmw2252 Riemer Rd. Brodhead, WI (GPS sometimes says Albany, but it will get you to us either way)When: Oct. 4th Field Day begins at 3pm, potluck around 5pm or maybe a bit earlier. Feel free to stay for both the field day AND potluck or just one or the other. Who: All women, soil sisters, food enthusiasts, or ladies just curious about land use, grazing, or meat production. Bring: A dish to pass and boots if it's a wet day.
Field Day: Multigenerational Conservation & Livestock Production at Enterprise Scale
Participants will tour two areas of our ~400 acre farm with Jen & Eliana Riemer. The first stop will be our creek pasture, where we'll discuss management-intensive grazing, pasture health, soil improvement, and our transition from conventional corn production. We'll also share conservation partnerships with municipalities and projects including streambank restoration, phosphorus reduction efforts, invasive species management, and how these practices support our Audubon Bird Friendly Certified grazing operation.
The second stop will highlight our pasture-raised pigs and turkeys and how conservation practices can be integrated into a larger-scale livestock operation. We'll also share our experience operating as a multigenerational family farm, including working alongside Bryce's parents and our adult daughter and transitioning leadership across generations.
The event will conclude with the Soil Sisters potluck, where participants can continue conversations, ask questions, and connect with one another. During the potluck, we'll include a few guided discussion questions and introductions so participants have an opportunity to meet someone new and leave with new connections as well as practical ideas. Share your experiences and bring your questions, this will be very open so that we can learn from each other.
This event is intended for both longtime Soil Sisters and women who are curious about becoming involved.
